How can there be no mention of the 1981 terrorist attack against the Air National Guard station at the airport? As I recall it is still the worst loss of aircraft by the US Air Force in a single incident since the Vietnam War.— Preceding unsigned comment added by KomandorskiMaru ( talk • contribs) 19:47, 26 June 2007

Just want to flag an issue so that someone else can insert it if they can get a source on it; I won't do the edit as putting it in unsourced might look like POV or OR.
There's something seriously wrong with an airport like SJU where they actually have employees at the baggage claim who demand your claim check and match it to your bag, to make sure you're not stealing someone else's bag. I have been in airports all over the U.S. and all over the world and have never seen that before! Usually the fact that most people don't put valuable items in checked baggage (because of the risk of theft by baggage handlers) is sufficient to minimize baggage claim theft. -- Coolcaesar ( talk) 06:29, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
That doesn't always happen. I land in Puerto Rico frequently and sometimes I just walk out and sometimes they want to verify I have the correct luggage. Seems like a reasonable check to me. I had it happen in Cedar Rapids, Iowa once too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NastyMix ( talk • contribs) 04:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, why if Virgin Atlantic flies from SJU to Antigua and not to Gatwick, it's kept that way? Because it has the same flight number? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.45.81.224 ( talk) 23:42, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
I think the removal of New Routes is not only unjustified, but also vandalism. Whatever happened to new routes for destinations for Bogotá and São Paulo from Gol Airlines, as well as the flight to Bogotá via Panama City? Why remove New Routes? JMBZ-12 ( talk) 13:39, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
This article says that following the plane crash that killed Roberto Clemente, no bodies or wreckage were ever found. However, the article about Roberto Clemente says that one body and part of the wreckage were found. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.118.229.114 ( talk) 16:48, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Though I wasn't able to find the source, most likely because no news channel has heard about what happened, a 4.78 magnitude earthquake has caused moderate damage to the main airport. JMBZ-12 ( talk) 03:56, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Airlines formerly using Luis Munoz Marin International airport
It looks as if all of these airlines abandoned the airport and serving Puerto Rico
It should be stated that some of the airlines that no longer use the airport went out of business (ACES Colombia, Air Jamaica, BWIA, Viasa, Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela, Dominicana de Aviación, ATA Airlines)or merged with others (Northwest Airlines, Continental, Northwest)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Service from Toronto by Sunwing Airlines is NOT seasonal (see Wikipedia article for Toronto airport and airline website)
Trapeziaman ( talk) 20:32, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Should we merge the scheduled airline list with the charter list? For the charter airlines, we could put Charter or Seasonal Charter. The airport´s website lists the airlines altogether AND there are airlines missing. Other wikipedia webpages list the services that way like Punta Cana, Miami, Madeira, Palma De Mallorca Airport, among others.
Missing Airlines:
Air Margarita, Air Flamenco, Island Birds (Rome International) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robleroy172225 ( talk • contribs) 19:39, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
The Delta-operated RDU-SJU flight only operates for three weeks, from December 23 to January 6. Delta's page lists both the start and end dates, and it has the same for Fort Myers. Since the end date has already been announced it should be included as per WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT. There is no guarantee that it will continue to operate in more years so it does not make sense to remove the end date, and since it is a commercial flight it does not make sense to remove it altogether. Re: "San Juan International Airport, in Isla Grande, that had been operating since 1929 "
Following the link to Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport, it says "Originally constructed by the U.S. Navy as Naval Air Station Isla Grande just prior to World War II,[5] ". The archive reference [5] lists 1939. I wonder if it's a simple typo, and the sentence should end "operating since 1939 "? Darci ( talk) 17:52, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi all, I'm the Terminal D guy. I've put up some additional photos regarding the airport's current renovations. Please trim if necessary. Also, I really want to add photos of the new mural that's been installed, and the former map that was in its place. I suspect they'd be against Wikipedia's policies though.
