Adding acetylcarnitine?

Would acetylcarnitine merit inclusion in this article? It has been researched as an antidepressant. -- CopperKettle 14:27, 2 February 2020 (UTC) 14:27, 2 February 2020 (UTC) reply

This list is very depressing and hasn't changed for years now

This list is very depressing because it hasn't changed for years now. What do you guys think about re-colonising your digestive tract in order to combat depression.

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is being discussed on its Wiki Page as potential antidepressant:

"Lactiplantibacillus plantarum has been found in experiments to increase hippocampal brain derived neurotrophic factor, which means L. plantarum may have a beneficial role in the treatment of depression."

(Source: Bested, Alison C.; Logan, Alan C.; Selhub, Eva M. (2013). "Intestinal microbiota, probiotics and mental health: From Metchnikoff to modern advances: Part III – convergence toward clinical trials". Gut Pathogens. 5 (1): 4. doi:10.1186/1757-4749-5-4. PMC 3605358. PMID 23497650.)

edit: If one could find or create a bacteria that produces an antidepressant, so that you don't have to take it everyday and destroy your stomach. Don't forget to take your Pantoprazol guys. After a while of taking my antidepressant I developed Stomach Problems. The Pantoprazol is helping me a lot. I never took it because I doubted that suppressing Stomach-Acid is protecting your stomach. I was wrong. It somehow does.

Believe that these two compounds should be added too
