What's with this "rare diseases" thing? Are xeroderma pigmentosum and xenophobia really rare?

The site the list was taken from defines a "rare" disease as one from which fewer than 200,000 individuals in the United States suffer. Though god knows how xenophobia got classed as a disease! -- Someone else 08:28, 30 Aug 2003 (UTC)
