I can find no sources to support that the 13th Mo. Infantry Regiment (Confederate) ever actually existed. A Google search brings up nothing, "familysearch.org", which is not RS states that the only mention of the regiment is on two soldier's names in a database and that it is likely an error, and McGhee's Guide to Missouri Confederate Units, which is very reliable and comprehensive, makes no mention of a 13th Mo. Infantry. Unless someone can verify that this regiment existed, it should be removed from the list. Hog Farm ( talk) 21:05, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
Similar to the 13th Infantry above, I can find no evidence for the existence of the 27th Mounted Infantry or the 13th Battalion, Mounted Infantry in reliable sources. @ GELongstreet: added the units in this edit back in 2016. Do they have any idea where they were sourcing these units? If reliable sources demonstrating the existence of these two units can't be established soon, I will remove them from the list.
