Incorrect Records Shown

As is often the case with Wikipedia -- the information presented here isn't accurate. Under Craft, in 1962, the club was 64/96/2 -- Against the Cardinals Game #12 on 25 April 1962 was played to a 5/5 tie in 17 innings, and against the Mets on 9 September 1962 Game #145 was played to a 7/7 tie in eight innings. In the 1966 season, under Grady Hatton the record was 72/90/1 and on 16 July 1966 the team played to a 1/1 tie in 5 1/2 innings in Atlanta. Likewise, Game #77 in 2005 (under Phil Garner) was a 2/2 tie against the Reds. This is due to a quirk of MLB record keeping and not invalid data. In each of the cases cited above, the tied games were replayed and do not count towards final official MLB standings (although the individual player stats accumulated in those tied games did). If you look at Baseball Almanac and other sources, you'll notice that the Astros played 163 games in both 1966 and 2005, even though no tiebreaker was warranted.
