The online FCC database does not go back far enough to discover when KISS-FM started broadcasting. I've found a few references online that they have been on the air for over 30-years. This is validated by their official site, which says "San Antonio’s only Active Rock Station for over 34 years." Still, this does not help determine the exact year the station started broadcasting. If anybody knows for sure, please edit the info box. I'm not finding much useful history about the station, which is very surprising considering how long they have been around.
