Can someone PLEASE add a few photos of the place? The article really needs at least 1. (Many photos on Flickr, search 'Kingswood School').
There's now Category:Alumni of Kingswood School, Bath, and it could do with some members. roundhouse 01:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Girls were only admitted to the main part of the school from September 1972. Initially there were eight, the Head girl (if I remember aright Sue Sergent) in the VI form and seven in the Lower VI. Girls only entered the lower part of the school in or after 1974. I will ammend the main page to read 1972 accordingly.
I think that the Prior's Court Headmaster (Mr Mountford) had his daughter attend classes at Prior's court from 1968, but she was living "at home" in the Head's flat on the premises. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Martin of Sheffield ( talk) 12:34, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
(Posted on both schools' talk pages) At Kingswood School there used to be a stone set into the library referring to the period when Kingswood was lodging at Uppingham School during the war. I believe that a pair of stones were exchanged, can anyone confirm or deny the existance of such a stone at Uppingham, and where it is? A photo or a transcription of either or both stones would be nice. In passing, what is the old Kingswood library used for nowadays? Martin of Sheffield ( talk) 11:41, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Some good information but references need to be made inline. Could also use pictures and some work on WP:NPOV. Alumni seem fairly notable and the school is fairly old. Adam McCormick 05:07, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm assessing this article following a request at WP:WPSCH/A#R, as clearly a lot has changed since 2007. Firstly, given the age of the school and its impressive list of alumni, I am upping importance from Mid to High. On the quality rating, I think this article is on the high-end of C-class, although some remaining issues prevent a B-class rating.
I think the article needs to be re-organized to conform better WP:WPSCH/AG#S. As it is, some key school article sections appear to missing (campus, curriculum e.t.c.) and existing sections need expanding - the lead is too short for the article (see WP:LEAD) and the history section seems very incomplete for a school this old (books are usually good sources for history). I would suggest converting the sports section into an extra-curricular activities section and merging in information about the model UN; the organisation section should perhaps become a dedicated school houses section, and the Kingswood Theatre and eco-schools sections should all be covered under campus.
On the content, the referencing is good overall and its good see universal use of citation templates, although the sports section is missing references. Furthermore, the sports and eco-schools sections are vague and appear to be promotional, raising WP:NPOV issues. In an encyclopedia, words should be used in the way that is formally correct - ecology is the "scientific study of the relationships that living organisms have with each other and with their natural environment"; as someone who studied ecology at university, I do die a little inside when the word is misused as it is in this article! There are also some grammar issues in the article - words such as "chapel" and "boarding houses" are not, on their own, considered to be proper nouns and so should only be capitalised at the beginning of a sentence. The WP:MOS is long and tedious but is worth becoming familiar with.
Overall, I would say this article has plenty of potential. If further help or feedback is needed, feel free to drop a note on my talk page. CT Cooper · talk 14:48, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

The original logo (prior to 10/7/18) was larger and clearer. Interactiveschools ( talk · contribs) has been substituting a smaller, indistinct, logo that also repeats the school's name. I reverted this yesterday, but instead of discussion he has simply re-reverted. I am about to reset it one last time (any more could be construed as edit-warring). Would other editors please keep an eye on this. Martin of Sheffield ( talk) 11:17, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
@ Sderrick82:. Please see your talk page concerning your status on Wikipedia.
Please also read through the section "Logo" above. If the school is no longer using the coat of arms, but only an indistinct red blob over the word "KINGSWOOD", then there appears to be no point is displaying it directly underneath the title "Kingswood School". Furthermore, the coat of arms or similar should be displayed using the |logo=
parameter, not the |image=
parameter. The latter is for a picture of the school, see the examples on the
Template:Infobox_school page.
