Duplicated ISBNs? How often does this happen?

I just added an ISBN parm for George Vernadsky's A History of Russia (6th rev.ed., 1969) — ISBN  0-300-00247-5 — and upon testing that ISBN, found *two* different books matching it on Google Books: 1) Vernadsky's book, and 2) Theatrum Poetarum, Or A Compleat Collection of the Poets (1675) [printed 1970, crediting both Edward Phillips and Georg Olms, no preview]. How often are ISBNs duplicated between totally different books? –  Raven   .talk 22:49, 15 March 2023 (UTC) reply
