James Cockle was a fellow of the Royal Society and the Royal Astronomical Society. The following titles were removed:
The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography does not indicate a FCP or FMS. The former may be Cambridge Philosophical Society, but reference is missing. The FMS may refer to Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society again with missing reference.
