As a java programmer I do not recognise this as an authoritative site on Java technologies, nor Ruby technologies. jameselliot 23:31, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
If anyone has some simple questions, I'm starting to learn the language in its basics. Leave a note here about what information you need, and I'll try to add it to the article if appropriate. I really think JRuby can be powerful for my new
Multi-User_Dimension_(MUD).

We JRuby folks greatly appreciate your efforts to update wikis around the web, and now that the Wikipedia article is moving along I'll start making my own contributions as well. Thanks for your hard work. Headius
I have removed the stub status of this article, because now this, although not entire complete, can actually be considered an 'article'.
I think BeanShell deserves to be put in an entirely new, top level heading, because it is an important category for JRuby. Eventually, I'll try to include several examples and uses of it... unless someone can come up with a better organization.
Wikipedia isn't a manual: this goes into too much technical detail. 10:36, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Maybe they need a bit more explanation, but the examples gave me a better context for understanding what this tool was about than anything else I could find on the Web. -- RichardForster 07:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
I changed
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(javax.swing.JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE)
to:
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(javax.swing.JFrame::EXIT_ON_CLOSE)
. The former fails, while the latter works, with jruby 1.0.2-2 on Ubuntu Hardy. This is mentioned at http://markmail.org/message/jnrxw4cu4bhqu5e6 . It looks like the issue is Ruby's automatic methods. Superm401 - Talk 11:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Can someone expand the three license section? Why did they decide to release it in this way? -- HighKing ( talk) 15:44, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
It makes no sense for Juby to redirect automatically to JRuby. Juby should not redirect to anything. It is part of other names. Can someone fix this? 189.93.138.109 ( talk) 20:15, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 3 external links on
JRuby. Please take a moment to review
my edit. If necessary, add {{

after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{
nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
