- Just so you know, Exit 14 is presently closed and being rebuilt along with the rest of US 74 as part of it's proposed upgrade into Interstate 74. I cut through there between the end of June and beginning of July, and I saw NCDOT rebuilding that whole interchange. They even detoured part of I-95 around it. ---- DanTD 15:34, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

- It's 181.71 miles. It's listed and sourced on the main I-95 article. The specifications for what each Interstate article should include are well-listed on the Interstate Highways WikiProject page. A few years ago there was a TV special documentary on Interstate 95, covering its entire length. I think that they mentioned that the North Carolina portion has more McDonald's locations per mile than along any other road. one editor insists on calling part of i-95 the blue star highway, which i am sure some people call it that. but, there is no proof of that. nothing on the ncdot site or elsewhere. i am not sure why this editor has chosen to edit war on this page. he even made the comment "I can play this all day, Revert back", which, of course, is not helpful and can be seen in a very negative light. both links provided show exactly what i am saying, and nothing to what the editor is saying. if there are good links for it, then please provide it. thank you. - Nobody is calling it a " Blue Star Memorial Highway," it is an honorary name to the highway and I have provided references by NCDOT themselves showing this fact. If you cannot accept references by the state department of transportation as proof, then you should have no business editing highway articles on wiki. I recommend clicking on the wiki article regarding Blue Star Memorial Highways; also note that several highways in North Carolina (and other states) are also Blue Star Memorial Highways and their wiki pages are noted the same as well. -- WashuOtaku ( talk) 20:29, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- The refs are from NCDOT, the URL string points to NCDOT. The first ref North Carolina Memorial Highways and other Named Facilities has it listed on page 16 as I-95 throughout state as a Blue Star Memorial Highway. The second link NC Blue Star Memorial Marker Locations provides a map where the signs are located on NCDOT's website. This line in the "Future" chapter is quite misleading;
"An improvement project along I-95 includes widening sections of the interstate in Cumberland and Robeson counties between Exit 22 & Exit 40 and in Harnett & Johnston counties between Exit 71 & Exit 81 to eight lanes. Currently, funding is expected for the Cumberland and Robeson section after 2027 and construction scheduled for the Harnett & Johnston counties section in 2026."

- Future routes are not official routes. While exceptions do exist, like Future I-26 through Asheville, for the most part Future Interstates are not signed the same way as normal highway routes and as such are not to be listed as if they are. --

- Ok, well what about Future I-685 in Montgomery, AL? Cause that is mentioned on the pages of
Interstate 65 in Alabama,
U.S. Route 82 in Alabama,
U.S. Route 231 in Alabama, and
Alabama State Route 21 and I don't see any signs that say "Future Interstate 685". Should that be changed?

The bottom half of the tolls sections and the future section are essentially talking about the same thing. However, the tolls do not appear to have been implemented and it is difficult to get a grasp of understanding when the section below it is just a continuation of what projects are going on currently on I-95.
