I don't see why a citation is needed, if you listen to both songs you hear the lyrics are different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.130.74.26 ( talk) 22:06, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
An editor has been attempting to move this article to I Swear (John Michael Montgomery song) and leave a disambiguation page in its place. The move was done incorrectly (via a cut and paste). That can be fixed, but is there consensus that this move is the right thing to do? Meters ( talk) 20:28, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: Moved. — Amakuru ( talk) 17:42, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
I Swear (John Michael Montgomery song) →
I Swear – this move has already been contested once (by being reverted) - if the page is to move from
I Swear, a move discussion should take place. –

This move request was closed as Moved, but it was not moved. The request was to undo the undiscussed and contested move by a now-indeff'ed editor. The original article was at "I Swear", not "I Swear (John Michael Montgomery song)". The discussion seems to support restoring the original title as the primary topic. @ Meters: apologies, in fact I did move the article itself earlier but this talk page got left behind in the move. That happens occasionally, but I should have noticed it. I've now moved the talk page so hopefully all is well. Thanks — Amakuru ( talk) 21:11, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Dear all: I noticed that a 90s song very famous in South America was, in fact, a Country song, which was popularized by Brazilian duo Leandro e Leonardo both in Portuguese and Spanish.
Here you'll find more information about the project and the success of the song in both Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America.
L&L Wiki Portuguese: https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leandro_%26_Leonardo L&L Vol.9, album in which Portuguese version of 'I Swear' ('Eu Juro') was included.

YouTube link to the song 'Te Juro', Spanish version of 'I Swear', live at 1997 Festival de Viña del Mar, Chile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4Lzccwz22U
This piece could be useful as complementary information about the links between American Country Music and popular Brazilian music styles such as Sertanejo Romântico and Sertanejo Universitário.
