"As the Aramaic script was written on paper" This appears to be impossible at this period. Is papyrus intended? -- Wetman 21:33, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

There're more different estimates on Hama's population than you can shake a stick at. Eventually I gave up and used information from http://www.syriatourism.org/, as I figured that the Ministry of Tourism probably knew as well as anybody. -=- Saaber 01:13, 1 February 2006 (UTC) reply

Hama

The history section needs a major re-work, but I think it's an interesting place to work on, a very rich history in there. I will try to pitch in as much as possible. Yazan ( talk) 06:52, 15 July 2009 (UTC) reply

Link to Hama massacre

Shouldn't there be a statement at the beginning "For Hama massacre, see..." and a link. It used to be here, now it's gone. The brief description of the massacre and the link are way down inside the article. 75.85.81.0 ( talk) 07:45, 30 November 2009 (UTC) reply

History - Israelites

I don't know how is it treated, but according to the biblical story, the United Kingdom of Israel conquered Hama somewhere in the 10t century BC. Shouldn't it have a mention? Not as a fact. Mentioned in 2 chronicles 8 9, found this english translation: link.-- Bolter21 ( talk to me) 21:19, 29 January 2016 (UTC) reply

population in incorrect

So I'm to believe Hama city's population more than doubled from 312 thousand to 854 thousand between 2004 and 2009? This is ridiculous.
