Syria Governorate Infobox

I have created an Infobox. Could anyone help expanding it to all Governorates? Here is the usage:

{{Infobox Syria Governorate
|governorate_name =
|muhafazat_name =
|loc_map =
|capital =
|latd =
|longd =
|area =
|pop =
|pop_year =
|pop_density =
|num_districts =
|languages= [[Arabic language|Arabic]]<br/>
}}

Note:

  1. muhafazat_name is the governorate_name in arabic.
  2. Longtude and Lattitude are Decimal. °N/°E are appended automatically.
  3. Area is in km².
  4. Density is in /km².

Borders change?

Does anyone know if the governorate boundaries have changed in the past 17 years, or what year the current map used on this page and subsequent governorate pages is based from? Some of the gorvernorates look like they have different borders than the 1990 edition map from the CIA. Particularly Dimashq and Hims. Thanks. Meateatingvegan 21:12, 28 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Prefectures not governorates

The Arabic word muhafaza is a literal translation of the word prefecture. I think it makes more sense to use prefecture instead of governorate for the Syrian provinces. HD86 ( talk) 04:23, 11 September 2011 (UTC) reply

Governorates' borders

Something is seriously wrong with the borders. The borders in this article do not match the borders in individual governorates' articles. 46.242.10.200 ( talk) 03:28, 5 September 2017 (UTC) reply

Does Idlib or Raqqa have a governor now?

Since the civil war these two governorates' capital cities are under opposition control.-- 霎起林野间 ( talk) 15:09, 11 January 2018 (UTC) reply
