Unless there is some objection I will be moving this to Executive Committee (Oregon Provisional Government) as there was no territory until 1848. All references to Oregon Territory that are before August of 1848 should be changed to Oregon Country. Then if something happened between August 1848 and early March 1849 (when the Territorial governmnt arrived in Oregon and took power) be careful with which entity you are deaing with.
