My main query here is context. The article states that Aiza is a member of the peasant movement, who joined peasant unions, etc -- which is surprising to read if you associate the term with the medieval era! Peasant movement at no point mentions Bolivia, though poking around related articles ( United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants) makes it somewhat clearer that this is a concept in Bolivian politics. We don't seem to have any articles on the use of the term in Bolivia/why a local term(?) is translated that way in English. It seems worthwhile to give some context about the movement that defined Aiza's political career.
Additional notes:
orphaned at the age of 8
I remember that I was 8 years old the moment my mom and dad died. The two of them left us almost at the same time, when we were little. As it does say almost, I went ahead and switched out "at" for "by", making "by the age of 8". Krisgabwoosh ( talk) 06:48, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
She was orphaned at a young age and dropped out of "school".
In 2009, Aiza was nominated for reelection as a full member of the Chamber of Deputies, a selection almost unheard of within the MAS, which had opted to near-entirely renew its parliamentary lists that cycleis a confusing sentence.
comments she made regarding potential increases in the price of gas-- positive, negative, speculative?
In addition to public service, Aiza's decade-long political career provided opportunities for her to complete the education she was forced to abandon in her youth-- is there detail on how she went about doing that? (It's interesting that someone whose educational opportunities were so limited ascended to those positions in the first place, and if there's more detail on this that would be worthwhile too.)
