The list of running accomplishments was grossly out of proportion with the length of the rest of the article, and had no sources. It seems like the track teams have experienced great success - several sentences with sources giving the most notable accomplishments would be far more appropriate and readable than the laundry list of trivia I deleted. Such a list belongs on a school webpage; it might work as a separate Wikipedia article, "East Greenwich High School Track Team," if supporting sources were included to demonstrate notability.

Also, I removed the sentence "EGHS is the only high school in the country with the nickname "Avengers."" This was unsourced, and it appears that there is at least one other high school athletic team competing under that name. Greenth ( talk) 19:50, 6 August 2010 (UTC) reply

I feel that, instead of having only track having its own article, an article for "East Greenwich High School athletics" should be created, thus lumping all of the sports together and cleaning up the article. Devinthepeng ( talk) 11:21, 22 August 2015 (UTC) reply

Under the opening definition I plan on updating the Newsweek listing to 2016 data, for which EGHS was listed in the top 500 high schools. 04:59, 27 March 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kdiepholz ( talkcontribs)
