Title?

Little comment. The title says early December winter storm, but winter did not start until December 21. --♬♩ Hurricanehink ( talk) 02:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC) reply

Yes, but winter storms can occur at any time. If a blizzard kills 30 people in North Dakota in the fall month of October, it's still a winter storm. The storm just needs to have predominantly winter weather (such as snow, ice, etc.) to be a winter storm. This isn't the only article employing the phrase "winter storm" to not occur in winter. After seeing the page on winter storm (which is completely unreferenced), I was a little skeptical if the term was an official designation, but after seeing NOAA and FEMA pages, I don't see the article title as a problem. However, it does seem a bit long, but then again I doubt there would be an official title for the storm. --♬♩ Hurricanehink ( talk) 03:44, 24 December 2007 (UTC) reply
Agreed, I think the article was created before an accepted name emerged, with the understanding that the title might need to change. If you have a better suggestion, please bring it up!
