Is there any reason why the main tinctures used in the image of Lord Elgin's arms have been reversed? The description gives, "Or, a saltire and chief gules, on a canton argent a lion rampant azure." whereas in fact the image is "[Gules], a saltire and chief [or]., on a canton argent a lion rampant azure. Presumably these roads are not named for the seventh earl, as the earldom of Ailesbury died with the fourth earl of Elgin / third earl of Ailesbury. So who was the eponym of the roads? These passages do not belong in the same short paragraph. — Tamfang ( talk) 06:31, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
