We need sources to prove that Mr. Wlodzimierz Krzyzanowski was indeed the first administrator of Alaska.

The local newspaper investigated these claims once, with surprise, and didn't find anything conclusive. (Anchorage Daily News, Dec 17, 2002, "Poland honors second 'ski' to lead Alaska")


"largely unexplored"

"When the United States had first bought Alaska, vast regions of the area still remained unexplored."
