Alli was born and raised in Milton Keynes to a Nigerian father and an English mother. Dele joined the academy system at Milton Keynes Dons aged 12 and broke into the first team five years later, during the 2012–13 season. Alli spent his early years with his father both in England, Milton Keynes, and in Nigeria where he attended Avi-Cenna International School in Lagos, Nigeria’s capital city.

- Runner-up in League 1 is see as an honour as it is rewarded with a promotion as well as a trophy. A google image search for 'dele alli league one promotion' shows Dele with that particular trophy. This is in contrast to being a runner-up in the PL, which is not seen as an honour, is not rewarded with a trophy or promotion. To confirm, any finishing position in any English league that results in a promotion and/or trophy is an honour. The player nowadays goes only by the name Dele. I would humbly request the name of the article is changed to Dele, or Dele (footballer born 1996). It seems that the change in his identification is related to the personal issues and trauma he has experienced, as well as being adopted into another family at a young age.

The Times ref I added states that Alli had received the most yellow cards for simulation since 15-16 alongside Zaha... it seems like a decent enough source to verify the statement. I added it there in the interests of NPOV, because this article, like most football biographies on Wikipedia, is currently far too one sided. Random journalists' opinions on why he is so great are considered RS but not ones that criticise him. - Runner-up in League 1 is see as an honour as it is rewarded with a promotion as well as a trophy. A google image search for 'dele alli league one promotion' shows Dele with that particular trophy. This is in contrast to being a runner-up in the PL, which is not seen as an honour, is not rewarded with a trophy or promotion. To confirm, any finishing position in any English league that results in a promotion and/or trophy is an honour. The player nowadays goes only by the name Dele. I would humbly request the name of the article is changed to Dele, or Dele (footballer born 1996). It seems that the change in his identification is related to the personal issues and trauma he has experienced, as well as being adopted into another family at a young age.
