Note regarding references

I've removed a number of reference tags from the article which simply referenced other reference tags by number: for example by using the markup <ref>[32]</ref>. These are, unfortunately, worse than no reference at all, because although they may give the impression of accurate citation, references may be renumbered at any time, and as a result numeric references, even if correct at one point, may actually reference a completely wrong source later on in time. If you are going to cite the same reference multiple times, please use the "name" attribute for this.
