September 2009, suggestion to wait for results of investigation of airstrike against captured civilian fuel-trucks

Dear author,

Please let me suggest to take other sources than the Noergelecke into account. For example the ZDF-news as of 04-Sep-09 or the official reports from Bundeswehr and ISAF of the same date.

Findings:

0) Noergelecke is not a trusted source of information. Responsibilities of the site are unclear. Probably, It is not a genuine source of independent information.

1) "fierce fighting" should not be used for an event which was an airstrike without involvement of ground-forces. The figure of casualties is unclear. the scope is from 56 Taliban (Bundeswehr-claim) to 90 (governor-claim, later corrected to about 50) with civilian of unknown number whilst Bundeswehr does not report that there were civilians affected.

2) The figures in the overview-box do not comply with revised figures any more. As so far you reported only minimum-consensus figurres, there are more than 50+ casualties confirmed and Bundeswehr claims all of them being Taliban.

Regarding the links I would request that none change the format for now. Unfortunately, the German military IT system is a nasty business. Getting along with these long links is terrible enough; until that's done, I would want the whole sources section to share the same simple, yet clear citation system without the template. 84.138.246.207 ( talk) 01:46, 10 March 2016 (UTC) reply
