Clonfin Ambush Clonfin ambush – I initially proposed the renaming of this article (as well as Headford Ambush on the basis that "ambush" should not be capitalised. However, one user said this change might be considered controversial and may require a census before any changes be made, and recommended that I do this instead. They stated "Clonfin Ambush" is a proper noun and that it should remain. However, after looking at other articles about ambushes I found that almost all with the title "(x) ambush" have "ambush" written with a lowercase "a". For example: Warrenpoint ambush, Crossbarry ambush, Clonoe ambush, 1993 Fivemiletown ambush, Coolavokig ambush. • Support. Seems to be the norm on Wikipedia. Can't find any examples that use the capitalized form of any ambush, not only in the Irish scenario, but also other conflicts. So lower-case seems to the default norm here. Looking outside of Wiki, I find plenty of lower-case "Clonfin ambush", with only a few instances of upper case. That's really not sufficient. Support move of both Clonfin & Headford ambushes to lower-case. Walrasiad ( talk) 03:21, 20 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Actually, it was UtherSRG who contested it. I just asked why the "a" should be lowercase, since the original request didn't provide any reason. —  BarrelProof ( talk) 00:44, 28 December 2023 (UTC) reply
