Notable alumni

There's a template message in this section and I'd like to remove it. As a general rule, anyone that has a Wikipedia page should probably show up in this section. The original 2 alumni, plus the one I just added, fulfill this intuitive requirement. Any objections to removing this message and using this requirement moving forward? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hookandloop ( talkcontribs) 13:38, 10 April 2020 (UTC) reply

No problems with removing the message on my part. I would add that two of the people linked could do with a reference to confirm their attendance. Best wishes, Tacyarg ( talk) 15:41, 10 April 2020 (UTC) reply

abuse allegations

hi all, added a section on the ongoing abuse allegations at the school. This is both significant and factual. Radiant Tentacle ( talk) 19:55, 21 September 2022 (UTC) reply

As written it is a BLP violation, so I have removed it again. Meters ( talk) 20:06, 21 September 2022 (UTC) reply

Would this version work?
On August 30, 2022, the Atavist Magazine published an article detailing a culture of abuse in the Humanities Magnet. According to the article, in 2021, four former students filed lawsuits against the school, "claiming they were groomed and sexually abused while they were students in Core." The alleged abuse took place between 1994 and 2009, and names four teachers. Two additional Core teachers were convicted of crimes involving students, including statutory rape, and a third Cleveland teacher whose classes were popular with magnet students was convicted of possession of child pornography. No it would not. We don't normally discuss such material until there have been convictions, and for the cases in which there have been convictions, we wouldn't use vague language such as your original "According to public records, two additional Core teachers were convicted of crimes involving students..." Not to mention the fact all of the material on the convictions is a verbatim copy of a copyrighted article (© 2022 The Atavist Magazine). Please read WP:COPYVIO.
