Not everything in Wikipedia is precisely correct at any given moment. While Toxicology and Pharmacology are closely related, there is not a subcategory relationship.

Actually, I see the Category page says that Pharmacology "encompases" Toxicology. That is true but does not imply subcategory relationship. Tox is indeed important to Pharm and a Pharmacologist should know something of the toxicology of pharmaceuticals, but Tox also reaches to areas that are not within the realm of Pharm - the development of pesticides, for example. That is likely the way a Pharmacologist would put it, but I don't think that is accepted in the community of Toxicologists who deal with non-medicinal toxicology, as in pesticides, lead in children, tox testing of new materials or children's art supplies, etc. Pzavon ( talk) 02:48, 17 February 2009 (UTC) reply
