Toxicity

The very first sentence of this article,

"Carbofuran is the most toxic of the carbamate pesticides"

is not true. In fact, carbofuran belongs to the most toxic carbamate insecticides, but the most toxic derivative of all used commercialy is aldicarb. The respective LD50 values for rat, oral, which are used as standard quantifiying methods of mammalian toxicity are 14 mg/kg for carbofuran and ~1 mg/kg for aldicarb.

I change therefore the sentence to following:

"Carbofuran belongs to the most toxic carbamate pesticides" -- 84.163.99.87 00:03, 3 October 2006 (UTC) reply

Carbofuran is now banned in Canada. Please update your article accordingly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.238.246 ( talk) 10:53, 21 October 2009 (UTC) reply

I believe the focus of this article should be the chemical compound itself, including all the various characteristics, including toxicity. But the focus seems to be to describe it mainly a health hazard. I think a more balanced rewrite is in order. Landroo ( talk) 21:57, 8 April 2016 (UTC) reply

George W. Bush

Does he belong in this article? I think not "On November 24, 2008 Leslie Owen Collier was pardoned by George W. Bush for unlawfully killing three bald eagles in southeast Missouri with carbofuran (unauthorized use of a pesticide and violating the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act).[12]" ````

Deliberate poisoning of pets

It has been reported in the media [1] that carbofuran has been illegally imported into Cyprus from the occupied area and has been used to poison domestic pets. Devilinhell ( talk) 08:12, 26 May 2011 (UTC) reply
