Per WP:RS, blogs are not acceptable sources. Honestly, if your aren't going to try to understand the rules at English Wikipedia, why do keep asking why your additions are removed, for the same reasons every time? - BillCJ ( talk) 22:21, 1 August 2008 (UTC) reply

CIA

That the CN-235 is the preferred plane for CIA rendition flights sounds rather far-fetched to me. If no-one protests and a reference doesn't appear within the next few days I'll remove the info. Lidmann ( talk) 23:15, 1 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Venezuela/USA

Is there any public connection between the blocked deal with Venezuela and the HC-144 ? There are precedents on this matter .e.g US Army bought EM Chinooks embargoed to Iran in the 1980s. -- Jor70 ( talk) 22:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC) reply

I've never heard of a connection in this case. The USCG held a competition, and the CN-235 was te winner. To my knowledge, the Venezeulan order was never actually produced any parts, but was canceled prior to prodution occurring. The US has bought embargoed aircratf that were produced but went undelivered, such as the last F-14 of the Iran order (which Iran now wants back!), and the F-16s from the Pakistani buy in the 1990s. - BilCat ( talk) 23:15, 26 August 2010 (UTC) reply

Nurtano CASA

At one time, a long time ago, Nurtano in Indonesia tried to have their own version of the CASA 235 certified by the FAA, but the FAA refused to certify it due to defects in the documentation and production audit trails. One was built, but not certified. Now I can't find anything on this topic except for the occasional request on the web for information on the "CASA Nurtano". Does anybody have more information on this aborted development? If I'm wrong in my recollection, please correct me. Santamoly ( talk) 08:23, 10 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Map needs to be updated.

South Africa is now a Former operator - their single CN-235 went to the SAAF Museum early this year or late last year. Roger ( talk) 06:36, 13 July 2012 (UTC) reply

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Bluelinked countries

I'd argue that neither Spain nor Indonesia should have links in the infobox. MOS:OVERLINK says, "The following are usually not linked ... major examples of: countries". Indonesia has a population of 278 million, more than five times Spain's 48 million, so I'd call that major. Meticulo ( talk) 04:22, 17 June 2023 (UTC) reply
