Much of the first section of the history seems to be the history of the steel industry, not the BCSA. I don't really want to delete it because it is, well, interesting but if someone wants to move it... Ed1964 ( talk) 09:32, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
I dont know anything particularly about the bridge but from the picture it looks more like reinforced concrete than structural steel? Ed1964 ( talk) 14:25, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
ok, it does seem to be a girder bridge but there may be more impressive pictures of steel structures available. Looking at the history this one seems to have been used because the bridge won a bcsa award for a year where that has been long deleted from the wiki. Ed1964 ( talk) 18:37, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
I have included reference to the welding ISO 3834. The Association's website says it certifies under it, [1] but the UKAS paperwork doesn't seem to. [2] [3]
I would value comments on this. Ed1964 ( talk) 12:15, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
