An annotated drawing of a loco boiler is available on Commons at Image:Locomotive boiler sectioned.jpg. Might be good to add it here? EdJogg ( talk) 23:31, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
if someone is interessted there were experimental reactors like: BONUS [1] in Puerto Rico. A1000 ( talk) 19:55, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
The following text had been added (without the formatting!):
TYPES OF HIGH PRESSURE BOILER
I am not convinced that it was placed correctly in the article, and anyway needs converting to appropriate case (which I don't have time to do). However, it looks to be a good-faith edit, so have moved here in case anyone finds it worthwhile for reference or article expansion.

Incomplete article under this heading Water Tube Boiler
You'll notice it ends in an incomplete sentence.
Also, several headings around that one do the same thing- provide a link to an article describing the type of steam generator, and then provide a paragraph explaining the generator. Wouldn't it be more efficient to simply provide a link list to those pages, rather that linking to an article AND describing in this article?

Is there a boiler system that uses a hot chamber say 300 f into which a small amount of water is injected therby producing steam which would flow into a piston. The chamber would be ballanced to the piston so that with an appropriate amount of heat were applied the piston would cycle back to the "fire" position and more water would be injected into the heated "boiler" chamber. I am curious to try this out but would like to know if it has been tried before.
