Notability
Vincentvikram and
Beccaynr, I just wanted you guys to have a look at this one. Is this subject notable.? Being a notable figure at Sabarimala protest alone doesnt make anyone notable. I am about to nominate this for AFD. Before that, I want to know your opinions. Regards

Kashmorwiki I'd say go ahead and nominate articles on men to the AFD. There are a ton lot of crappy ones. The number of articles on women is already very low due to inherent biases both in RS and on Wikipedia. I'd suggest trying to improve the article first and unless it truly lacks sources and is hopeless then go for it else I think the process is counter productive when it targets certain disenfranchised sections.

Vincentvikram, I actually had a study about her. She has recieved lot of coverage regarding her entry into Sabarimala. You are right, biases exist here as well in real life. Like I said, I studied about this person and came to know she is only known for this. I still doubts whether this person actually qualifies for an independent article of her own. Why dont we merge it with
Entry of women to Sabarimala?

And to follow my own advice, I have proposed the draftification, rather than deletion, of Geenakumari.

Hi
Kichu, I can work on improving this article, because there appears to be enough biographical coverage to create context that would not otherwise fit in the larger article, per
WP:PAGEDECIDE. But I would like to more closely review the sources and conduct my own research before providing a more complete opinion about whether this is
WP:BLP1E - it looks possible that she was not low-profile before the Sabarimala entry and has not been low-profile afterwards.

Hi
Kichu, as an update, after making revisions and adding sources, I do feel a standalone article is warranted. There is still more work to be done, but it appears there is significant and in-depth coverage that also provides biographical information per
WP:GNG from multiple independent and reliable sources, and per
WP:BLP1E, Ammini has not remained low-profile after her successful entry. I also considered whether an article would be appropriate for Kanakadurga, but noted the contrast in how Kanakadurga describes her intentions in this
TIME magazine article, which appears to be an intention to otherwise remain low-profile and to not continue as an activist. Also per
WP:BLP1E, reliable sources are covering Ammini for more than a single event, and the successful entry is particularly significant and her role is substantial and well-documented.
