Motor traffic?

The Bewdley article states (and I've heard the same) that the bridge is the only unmodernised Telford bridge still carrying motor traffic. Is this true, and if so is there a reference anywhere? Loganberry ( Talk) 00:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC) reply

I deliberately didn't add that here as I have found no source to back it up. I'd be very, very surprised if it were true, as Telford built dozens if not hundreds of bridges, and I reckon it wouldn't be too hard to find another that was unmodified and still carried traffic. -- Kvetner 12:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC) reply
I think I'm going to take it out of the Bewdley article. I live in Bewdley, and have heard this mentioned by locals, but I can't recall hearing a precise definition of "unmodified". As such it's really got to count as unreferenced speculation, and therefore shouldn't be in. Loganberry ( Talk) 13:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC) reply
