The article says: >>>>In exchange, according to a secret Anglo-Ottoman agreement, the Ottomans were to be allowed to occupy Cyprus - "Cuprum probatum".
I couldn't find anything about this "Cuprum probatum" secret agrrement anywhere else. It is only mentioned in one Turkish site. In 1878 the Ottomans gave Cyprus to the British, so it doesn't make sense.
Acording to the web site of Donostia-San Sebastian Batumi is not A sister city her. maybe sambody have another source? . Geagea 02:08, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Agree, there are several inconsistencies between the English article Batumi, section "Twin town - sister cities" and the Spanish article concerning the same subject. This includes the city Ashdod, Israel which is listed in the English article but not the Spanish one, and the cities Cartagena, Colombia and Barcelona, España, listed in the Spanish article but not the English one. Also, as the previous comment mentions, a press announcement by Donostia-San Sebastián City Hall from December 2016 does not include Batumi as one of her sister cities. Does anyone know where to get official information? The Batumi website is down at this moment/doesn't work.
