Errors in entry on Augusta Innes Withers

BrentElliottRHS ( talk) 11:24, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Errors in this article. Death date: according to her death certificate, Augusta Innes Withers died on 11 August 1876, at the age of 85. This also means that her birth date is probably wrong, and "1793" ought to be replaced by "c.1791". The text also confuses William Hooker, the botanical artist, with William Jackson Hooker, the botanist and later Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. William Jackson Hooker had nothing to do with the paintings of fruit; they were commissioned by the Horticultural Society (later Royal Horticultural Society), and William Hooker was the first artist, until his stroke in 1820. Reference: Brent Elliott, The Royal Horticultural Society: a History 1804-2004 (Phillimore, 2004), pp. 251-2. BrentElliottRHS ( talk) 11:24, 5 October 2011 (UTC) reply
