"Undisclosed payments" - clarification from Professor Anne Buist - subject of this page

Hi whoever reads this! I am Professor Anne Buist, the subject of this page. I wasn't involved in its creation or editing, although I can confirm that the content is accurate. So I didn't pay anyone, and I have confirmed with my publisher (Text Publishing) that they did not set up or edit the page (they don't do Wikipedia) and that they didn't pay anyone. Nor did my co-author / husband. Maybe someone at Wikipedia knows something that I don't, but I can't imagine anyone else who'd pay for me to be on Wikipedia. Hope this helps - I'm happy to be on Wikipedia, but don't like having 'suspected undisclosed payments' at the top of my article! You can contact me through my writing publicist lucy.ballantyne@textpublishing.com.au Regards Anne 203.47.107.242 ( talk) 01:05, 29 November 2017 (UTC) reply

There unfortunately has been editors working for pay on these articles it appears. Doc James ( talk · contribs · email) 03:17, 29 November 2017 (UTC) reply
DocJames can you explain or point to where this has been established? The SPI was closed with the comment that the editor's explanation was reasonable. Thanks, Melcous ( talk) 12:48, 29 November 2017 (UTC) reply
You linked the wrong person, I have a space in my user name. The concerns are fairly obvious if you look at the edits in question between the account in question for the topic in question. In an effort to not provide paid editors with all the details required to avoid detection I am disinclined to innumerate them here but could provide some details by email. Oops, sorry about that both Doc Jameses! Okay, I have no real concern either way, it just seemed odd to me that the SPI accepts the key editor's alternative explanations for why the editing looks similar but they are not accepted here. Cheers, Melcous ( talk) 02:50, 30 November 2017 (UTC) reply
