Hi! I am V.B.Speranza, and I'll be conducting your GA review. I will see if the article passes
good article criteria.

Right off the bat I see that the first paragraph is huge, maybe try to transfer some information to other topics or create new ones. I also suggest adding more paragraphs, but that might be just my personal opinion. Please check
WP:MOSLAYOUT to fix this and other structure related problems.
I'm a tad confused. On my computer the first paragraph in the lead is three lines.

Did you mean the entire lead? Yeah, it is quite long. I can try to trim it down.

APK: Sure, you don’t need to add sources on the lead, however your lead occupies one third of the entire article… also, if not a lot of sources are available it may either fail GA due the article becoming to short or failing the coverage topic of the six good article criteria. Please check if the author of refs 10 and 11 has any connection with Angel.

V.B.Speranza: I haven't seen anything that would connect Marco Aquino to Angel Rodriguez-Diaz. Did you see something that was of concern? How many additional sources are you looking for?

APK: I was just wondering why he wrote about the same guy on two different platforms years apart, have you fixed the other problems?

V.B.Speranza: I trimmed the lead a few days ago. In regards to the number of sources, I don't see anything in the GA criteria that lists a minimum number. The ones I've used in this article cover the main aspects of his life. Any other sources I've come across are either not reliable or repetitious of the current ones.

I have some doubts regarding notability, since I don’t know much about that, I’ll be requesting a 2nd opinion to review these issues.

The entire article has over 2000 words but only 12 sources? And I also find it strange that the same person wrote citations number 10 and 11. The massive 4 inicial paragraphs are 2/5 of the article but contain 0 sources, this needs to be fixes ASAP.
There isn't an abundance of reliable sources for this particular artist. I used what I could find. I've always been told the lead doesn't need sources if the content is sourced in the body of the article, and have had GA's put on hold because of that. In regards to the author in citations 10 and 11, can you specify the issue that needs to be addressed?

The phrase «An article in the San Antonio Current said Rodriguez-Diaz "attracted international attention for his ability to combine technical proficiency with political and social commentary to create an instantly recognizable visual style."» unsourced
« Rodriguez-Diaz's interest in art started at a young age when he would watch his mother draw on a notebook. When he was around seven or eight, one of Rodriguez-Diaz's cousins gave him drawing pads, charcoal, and kneaded erasers. In seventh grade, he won a contest for his painting of José de Diego, his first portrait. During his teen years, he focused on his studies and art as an escape from dealing with his mother's illness.» unsourced
«Gillon urged him to be tested, and this is when Rodriguez-Diaz also received the diagnosis in the late 1980s of being HIV positive, and the couple separated.» unsourced
