Why is Amarna Era separate from Amarna Period? — Tamfang ( talk) 03:27, 22 May 2023 (UTC) reply

No idea. I just realized I had this article on my watchlist, but apparently I never realized the duplication. "Amarna Period" is the usual term in the sources, and that article is several years older than this one. Looks like a merge is needed. A. Parrot ( talk) 13:46, 22 May 2023 (UTC) reply
Same as A. Parrot. I must have added it to my watch list, thought "that's weird that there's two of them" and then forgotten. As A. Parrot already said, it is usually called the Amarna Period so it is especially telling that the first source in the article is titled "Amarna Period" not "Amarna Era" haha. Support the proposal to merge to Amarna Period on the grounds of overlap (or even duplication!). Klbrain ( talk) 16:59, 30 April 2024 (UTC) reply
