The page about the Kalmar Union (on Wikipedia) tells about Albert's defeat in 1389 and the subsequent unification of Sweden and Denmark. This fact is missing in this article.

According to this article

This leaves the impression that the Vitalians were forced out by Margaret first and the Teutonic Order arrived later. However, according to Victual Brothers

Queen Margaret and King Albert of Sweden conceded Gotland to the allied Teutonic Order as a pledge (similar to a fiefdom). An invasion army under Konrad von Jungingen, the Grand Master of the Order, conquered the island in 1398, destroying Visby and driving the Victual Brothers out of Gotland.

Also, later paragraph is unclear: Margaret and Albert were foes, so which of them conceded Gotland? Apparently it couldn't be Margaret since the Teutons were Albert's allies. But the Vitalians were Albert's allies as well, not so? Top.Squark ( talk) 20:23, 24 May 2008 (UTC) reply

This is true both with regard to inline citations, which are essentially absent, but also with regard to sources of any kind that are traceable (that can be found, and for which narrowing information such as page numbers are provided, so that verification can be performed in other than decades-long exercises). (Sources at an English encyclopedia that are in English would also be of use, so that WP:OR is not expected both of verifying editors, and readers.) As such, we cannot use this article as reading material for our students. English Wikipedia does not require that sources be in English. English-language writers have spent little if any time on older Swedish monarchs. Ugly boxes added now claiming that the article has no sources are not accurate. Wrong tags? -- SergeWoodzing ( talk) 14:18, 2 February 2022 (UTC) reply
