Redirect for Yosemite Park and Curry Company?

The history of a major National Park concession history is overlooked by lack of material and this unfortunate redirect. Granted The Ahwahnee Hotel remains one of the company's primary architectural legacies, but numerous fascinating personalities, artistic accomplishments, supreme court victories, contentious positions, and cultural histories are overlooked without its own page. Can no one support developing a better history for National Park concessions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:2E05:F470:2CBA:6DBD:FF32:D396 ( talk) 06:31, 20 January 2016 (UTC) reply

five-star? From where?

On its page, it never claims 5 star status. It does claim to be four-diamond-rated by AAA (out of 5). I also cross checked the following:

For these reasons, I have struck the 5-star comments until a credible source is added. -- Bobak 22:08, 10 August 2006 (UTC) reply

I worked in the Ahwahnee back in the day, and although I heard people talk about 4/5 star ratings, nothing I read ever said so. Even IF royalty, presidents, and movie stars have eaten there! I would be surprised if it was 4 stars, I might consider 3 stars. The Ahwahnee hotel is a four diamonds property. Star rating are rated by the public based on the experience they had (customer service, quality of beds, etc). Diamond ratings are rated by American Automobile Association (AAA). Diamond ratings are based on the basic need requirements and how luxurious the property is based on AAA requirements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.183.184.25 ( talk) 21:07, 1 February 2012 (UTC) reply

Ahwahnee name part of IP lawsuit

I was digging for more information on this Federal lawsuit: Jilted Yosemite National Park concessions suitor goes to court and was disappointed that there wasn't enough history of the ownership here to help me understand that case. Can it be added? (Should it?) As well as, perhaps, a brief summation of the lawsuit itself? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:645:4000:7A80:B4A7:2773:15F0:3902 ( talk) 01:57, 24 September 2015 (UTC) reply

Confusing redirects

The Yosemite Park & Curry Company redirect is targeted at this page, whereas the effectively identical Yosemite Park and Curry Company is redirected to the Yosemite National Park. Could someone who knows about this sort out that mess? (I'm posting an identical note in the talk section of the latter page, too.) Meanwhile, Curry Company doesn't even have a page, and isn't a redirect to anything. MrRedwood ( talk) 23:39, 15 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Ahwahnee Hotel The Ahwahnee – All official sources, especially National Park Service sources, refer to the hotel not as the Ahwahnee Hotel but as The Ahwahnee. This seems uncontroversial.
