Glad to see this article started! It would be good to expand with information from more independent, reliable sources. I'm adding a few I have found below; if anybody new to Wikipedia is interested in pitching in, here's a short video I recently made on how to find sources suitable for Wikipedia.

(conflict of interest: I was president of Wikimedia Australia during this time). It would be good to note the supporters of these events, which for the first AdaCamp were Google, Wikimedia Australia, Linux Australia and Atlassian (also Australian).
