what are Bands that are used to calculate?

- I disagree. One is about measuring the ratio of different contents, the other is about one of the contents. It would be like merging snow and winter. Totnesmartin ( talk) 10:31, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Could anybody please add some part to the article explaining how this counting is carried out in practice? I find it hard to believe that someone is looking through a microscope counting the cells one by one, but what is the alternative? Octonion ( talk) 08:27, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
- It's usually done by machine, but it can be done manually, exactly as you describe. See Complete blood count#Methods. WhatamIdoing ( talk) 13:44, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
