Um, the numbers given for some of the books are all out of whack. 35 is Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited, not London Calling. The Who Sell Out is number 37, not 40. Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key of Life is 42, and 69 Love Songs by the Magnetic Fields is number 69. There's A Riot Going On is 32, not 36. Doolittle is 31, not 32. It goes on like this. My guess is that someone put up a speculative series of numbers before they came out.

As I pointed out on the AfD page, all of the books mentioned are on Amazon and have sales ranks of about 200,000 which isn't terrible. I'm no music buff so I don't feel right editing the article, but maybe someone could write a little about their notability to the music world? I'm not sure how much they have but it seems like a good idea. Cool3 19:52, 1 March 2006 (UTC) reply

Yes indeed. I'm not in the business of deleting things for the sake of it, so if there's a story to tell let's hear it :) -- kingboyk 19:58, 1 March 2006 (UTC) reply

If the article is kept it would be useful to add to each title the year it was published and the name of the band it is about. Also indicate which books are not yet published. Thatcher131 23:43, 1 March 2006 (UTC) reply

If it's kept you ought to think about having a disambiguation page. You already have 2 alternative uses, and there's at least one album by that name plus it's the speed at which a vinyl LP spins. You could point to one disambig page at the top instead of multiple links to other 33 1/3 pages.

I marked it book-stub. It's mainly a long list of titles in a series. What is the significance of these books? How do they tie together? RJFJR 16:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC) reply

I think if you read all the Wikipedia articles on these albums, at least some of the information on them may well have come from these books. They detail a lot of the personal and musical background that led to the making of these significant (in many cases revolutionary) albums. Fan1967 04:36, 27 March 2006 (UTC) reply

I have reformatted the whole list to add the artist names and album years. I have also removed a few redlinks. If these authors should get articles, they can be linked then, but no point in having all the red links there. Please feel free to comment on the formatting. Fan1967 00:28, 27 March 2006 (UTC) reply

Is there any reason for having some of the table cells be combined rows? I'm going to correct this. Relaxing ( talk) 19:20, 16 November 2010 (UTC) reply
