Kaplan says five years, ^[1] but AACR says seven years. ^[2] Can anyone clarify this? It appears to have been changed during discussion in the Senate, since the APA reported the House version was for nine years ^[3]. Sondra.kinsey ( talk) 17:23, 31 December 2016 (UTC) reply

I'm having a hard time reconciling sources on petroleum sales. The bill itself talks about selling from 2018-2025, with only 4 billion barrels in 2018, but the EIA says:

The recently passed Cures Act calls for the sale of 25 million barrels of SPR crude oil for fiscal years 2017 through 2019. The first tranche of these sales is expected in late spring 2017. ^[1]

@ FrozenMan: Thanks for your recent edit! Can you reply just to assure me that you read the bill and the discrepancy I described above makes sense to you? You don't even have to explain how. The APA lists many reasons they support the bill that I don't see in later reports. ^[1] Were these provisions removed from the final bill? If they are in the final bill, they are significant for its content. If they were removed, it should be noted as well, because this supports Senator Warren's bait-and-switch narrative.
