Dubai Matches

The matches played in Dubai are not warm-up for the following reasons.

  1. They include teams that havent qualified for the World Cup 2011
  2. They are on grounds not officially approved for World Cup 2011
  3. The official schedule doesnt include them, but only matches played from 12th Feb 2011.
Cricinfo, as you would probably know, is the most updated cricket site, more than the official cwc site, and they have vry clearly shown on their fixtures site here that these matches are a part of the warm-up. They have even written match reports on these matches, clearly labelling them as warm-up games and part of the World Cup preparations for the teams. [1] [2] They only include one non world cup team, and the matches were played in Dubai, where the ICC is located.-- Blackknight12 ( talk) 14:35, 17 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Not official until it comes from ICC! Cricinfo is a news source, they jump the gun to promote them self. The official site says no, thats the word. -- ashwinikalantri talk 15:48, 17 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Who made you a administrator all of a sudden! All these matches are conducted through the ICC, its not like some random company, or even a news source like Cricinfo is going to conduct extra matches just for the sake of profit. And please keep your opinions to yourself. Cricinfo is a credible site and is used by users on wikipedia all the time.-- Blackknight12 ( talk) 09:14, 19 February 2011 (UTC) reply
I think you should sit down and think before you type. When did I say I was an administrator? And when there is a official source, then that source is considered valid. If you find it so hard to understand, I would suggest you ask others. Cheers and have a great day! ashwinikalantri talk 14:53, 19 February 2011 (UTC) reply
