Please check Group A, Werder Bremen. They are not eliminated from Europa League, if they play remis with Tottenham and Internationale does not defeat Twente. Because when Werder wins it last match and Twente loses it, Werder is has got 3rd Place. (Sorry for my English) -- 95.114.159.51 ( talk) 09:46, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
...because even if they win both their remaining games and Marseille loses them both (in that case both Zilina and Marseille have 6 points), Zilina has a tragic head-to-head aggregate result with Marseille. Please correct me if I'm wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.73.139.239 ( talk)

Although their mission is almost impossible, mathmaticly it's still possible. They have more 6 points to dispute. If Shalke and Benfica lost all their games and Hapoel win them all with lots of goals, they can pass. Bayern have not automatically led the group. Roma can make up the goal differential. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.204.37.42 ( talk) 12:52, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
No, Bayern has topped the group, because Bayern has a superior head-to-head record in terms of goal difference. In terms of head-to-head record purposes, both finishes on 3 points, but Bayern has a goal difference of +1(F=4, A=3), while Roma has a goal difference of -1(F=3, A=4).
In other words
Team | Pld | W | D | L | GF | GA | GD | Pts |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bayern Munich | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 4 | 3 | +1 | 3 |
Roma | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 3 | 4 | −1 | 3 |

If Shakhtar Donetsk, Arsenal and Braga all finish on 12 points(which means Braga defeat Shakhtar Donetsk and Arsenal defeat Partizan), the tie-breakers are determined by the results between these 3 teams only. In other words, results against Partizan are not counted for the purpose of this tie-break. When this occurs, all 3 teams finishes on 6 points. Since Arsenal have played all its matches against Shakhtar Donetsk, Arsenal's record is 6 points with a goal difference of +7(F=12, A=5). This will not change regardless of the results on matchday 6. Shakhtar Donetsk's record is 6 points with a goal difference of 0(F=6, A=6). As Shakhtar Donetsk's loses to Braga, their goal difference is guaranteed -1 and below, hence they cannot finish above Arsenal no matter what. Braga's record is currently 3 points with a goal difference of -7(F=2, A=9). If they defeat Shakhtar Donetsk, they will have 6 points. The final goal difference will depends on Braga's margin of victory over Shakhtar Donetsk. If Braga wins by 15 goals or more, they will have a goal difference of at least +8, which places them above Arsenal. If Braga wins by exactly 14 goals, they will have a goal difference of at +7, which is the same as Arsenal, but the F column will be at least 16, which is higher than Arsenal's 12, hence Braga will still finish above Arsenal in this scenario. If Braga wins by less than 14 goals, they will have a goal difference of between -6 to +6, which is less than Arsenal's +7, hence Arsenal will top the group in this scenario.
