There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Many sources prove the election must be held within 60 days. [1] [2] -- Aleen f1 11:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
I presume all the BN controlled states except Sarawak are going to have their elections too? [3] But does anyone know if PAS plan to dissolve the Kelantan state assembly? Nil Einne ( talk) 15:35, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Should we make separate articles for the state elections? Maybe we could do something like: Peninsular Malaysia state elections, 2008, and Sabah state election, 2008. Its separated coz, Peninsular states always have their elections simultaneously, while in Sabah and Sarawak, their elections are sometimes held at different times. I changed the statement here [5] as the reference does not say the opposition are barely mentioned in a positive light. It quotes one random person who says most references are negative but that is the view of one random person. However the reference does say that the opposition is barely mentioned in the government controlled media which is what I have changed it to say Nil Einne ( talk) 09:02, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Could the uploader (will noticy directly later) or some willing person verify the copyright status of the document? I know it's meant to be freely distributed, but Wikipedia won't go easy on an upload that doesn't even have a copyright status tag at all. - Two hundred percent ( talk) 10:19, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

"The Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) formed the next state government in Kedah, after the opposition comprehensively ousted the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. Nik Aziz Nik Mat, the party's spiritual leader and chief minister of Kelantan state confirmed the victory. Kedah's state PAS commissioner, Azizan Abdul Razak, has been sworn in as the ninth Kedah Menteri Besar."
What does this mean? Why is it up to the chief minister of Kelantan to "confirm" who will be the government of Kedah? Intelligent Mr Toad ( talk) 15:51, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Should there be a bigger section on royal interferences in government formation in the states of Perlis, and Terengganu? Wai Hong ( talk) 11:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I have deleted the tabular details on uncontested parliamentary and state seats. These were written after nomination day, but before the election itself. The list of candidates who won uncontested took a significant portion of the article, hence after the election, such details have little relevance to the general tone of this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.76.193.129 ( talk) 16:57, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, to find out if you really want to work for this GA (and you will, once I'm finished), do this preliminary task beforehand: Change all future and present verbs to past tense. There are a lot of verbs that are future tense, even though the events are already past. So do that before I start the review. Noble Story ( talk) 08:15, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, I see that no one attempted to take up the challenge, or anything close to it. So, my final review:
There is going to have to be some copyediting for sure. Some sections are too short, but also the whole article is also very long, and needs to be cut down. Noble Story ( talk) 03:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
WP:Good article usage is a survey of the language and style of Wikipedia editors in articles being reviewed for Good article nomination. It will help make the experience of writing Good Articles as non-threatening and satisfying as possible if all the participating editors would take a moment to answer a few questions for us, in this section please. The survey will end on April 30.
At any point during this review, let us know if we recommend any edits, including markup, punctuation and language, that you feel don't fit with your writing style. Thanks for your time. - Dan

Brief translation (post above was not me) - Pakaran Rakyat (PR, People's Pact) is not an officially registered coalition/party. Their candidates use their respective party logos. PS I'm not sure how it relates to the article Khing ( talk) 02:02, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
I think the point he is making is that the coalition called Pakatan Rakyat did not exist before, during and at the conclusion of this election. During the election, DAP, PKr and PAS agreed to cooperate under an informal coalition without a name (or perhaps known as Barisan Rakyat). The name Pakatan Rakyat only came into existence a few weeks after the elections. Maybe we should reflect this fact in this article. As of today, PR is still not registered with the registrar of societies as a formal coalition of political parties. Personally i think this part is not so important/notable to highlight in this article. ќמшמφטтгמ torque 12:02, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
