I've added some of the information from the main page re: 2007 events as part of an effort to protect the readability of the Iraq War entry, which is, by all accounts, too long. Benzocane 22:51, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
This page lacks any account at all of US/UK/Iraqi military operations, nor any strategic or tactical matrix in which the chronicle-entries can be understood. All we have here is a summary of the press' (lazy) reporting, which amounts to tallying up Allied and civilian deaths. In particular there has been no mention of Baghdad neighborhood-clearing operations (whether failed or successful), or of Operation Arrowhead Ripper in Baquba, in which US military sources claim to have inflicted serious losses on AQI. Solicitr 18:15, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Good point. I'm going to move some of the more detailed and less relevant items from the Iraq war page to the respective month here to hopefully address some of those concerns. Publicus 20:37, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
This is Wikipedia's longest page. And it's pretty crap. Nothing but a list and not much else. I guess the only good thing is that is show how deadly America's war is and what damage they are doing to the world.-- Xania talk 02:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
The page needs TRANSCLUSION from smaller pages for each month. This all belongs to an iraq portal. However, it's valuable to note that the density of events decreases towards the end of the year. Schweiwikist ( talk) 19:34, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

And this for every day. Repeating the link for every event seems useless to me. Any remarks on this?
NicDumZ ~ 14:32, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I stumbled upon this talk page after noticing an anonymous user adding copious amounts of information to August–December 2007 in Iraq while removing any possible good news. In my opinion, these edits are in violation of WP:NOTNEWS, WP:NOTSOAPBOX, WP:NOTDIRECTORY and probably WP:NPOV, and I had a hand in reverting those edits at that one article before realizing where it started and that it had been going on for some time. Those of you who are watching or have posted on this talk page have probably been thinking about this longer than I, so I was wondering if you think this information should even be on Wikipedia. To be honest, I would probably be in favor of summarizing the information and putting it back together as a single article, and I'd be willing to help, but I was hoping to get some input and maybe reach a consensus. -- jhan CRUSH 07:17, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

See the talk page there where I note other examples on wikipedia where this 796 number is given (none with sources) but I provide there sources for the number 796. I'm not sure exactly how to go about changing all this... Yaakovaryeh ( talk) 13:58, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
