This is looking pretty good so far, there's a lot of content here and the pictures add to the article. I think it needs some copyediting but I'm working through that. I'd say the Massa flag incident needs to be worked into the article and some references need to be found for comments made in the main article body (not just the notes). I reckon this is a potential GA though once improvements have been carried out. Alexj2002 17:12, 20 November 2006 (UTC) reply

Raikkonen's comment

Is the comment by Raikkonen really necessary? I'm not talking about censorship here, I'm just curious if that information is pertinent to the article. I, for one, am not particularly concerned about Kimi's bathroom behavior before a race, although Schumacher's lifetime achievement award does merit a mention. Aldango 20:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC) reply

I said the same thing on the WP:F1 talk page where this article was being discussed, I think the trivia section should be removed and the Massa incident worked into the article (as I believe it to be notable) and the Raikkonen incident removed (as it is not really that relevant). Failed GA

A complete lack of sources is one problem. There is no way I could find all the details of the manouevers and such from the article. Another is the WP:MOS vilations constantly refering to drivers by full name repetitively. I'm guessing stuff like "Michael Schumacher had a decent start from his 10th position on the grid and was on the inside of the two BMW Saubers going into the first corner, but had to back off to avoid a collision. He would pass both BMWs three corners later as they were slowed by Robert Kubica overtaking team-mate Nick Heidfeld on the back straight." were from visual observation of the television? As it seems unusual that a BCC report etc, would microanalytically describe the moves. That is something of a problem.

  • No Friday practice reports
  • No Saturday practice and qualifying info.
  • Units need to be done properly with the   etc, and consistently
  • Editorials "This circumstance was a highly improbably situation, given the performance of the Renaults through the year despite the Ferraris being easily the fastest car of the weekend. Michael Schumacher had realised this at Suzuka and had admitted defeat then." - simply state the relative reliability records and quote Schumacher and talk about the arithmetic
  • Speculation "The Renault took to the grass and was only just able to rejoin still in front of Barrichello. The laps in which Schumacher was stuck behind Fisichella proved to be essential in determining the outcome of the race, the German losing a few seconds that could have made a difference in the last few laps of the race." - Well what about him having to close 6s on Button and Alonso and passing both of them? Whilst not disagreeing with your comments Blnguyen, it should be noted that sometimes it's necessary to state Michael Schumacher's name in full to avoid possible confusion with Ralf. -- DH85868993 08:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC) reply
