I just heard on "The Tennis Podcast" that the 2000 season originally used a new ranking system. Same points were given I believe, but everybody started the 2000 season at zero points, basically the way the ATP race works these days. The system was done away with after the season and the ATP does recognize Fabrice Santoro as a legit #1 for example, but anyway this should be mentioned in the article, right?
