Contradictory information

So how many fatalities were there? The header section says none, the aftermath section says three. Alan LeHun ( talk) 18:13, 15 February 2014 (UTC) reply

The claim of three fatalities was a recent unexplained and unsourced change to the article, so I have reverted it. Thanks for pointing this out. -- Deskford ( talk) 23:09, 15 February 2014 (UTC) reply
A BMJ article give the following information which is quoted for clarity: "There were 507 cases, derived from 309 households in the city and 33 in the surrounding districts, with three deaths. All but four patients were treated in hospital; the diagnosis was confirmed bacteriologically in 403 and clinically in 66; in the remaining 38 typhoid was not confirmed." https://www.bmj.com/content/2/5514/601.full.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.237.97 ( talk) 18:04, 12 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Closure of Fray Bentos

I removed the statement that the incident led to the eventual closure of Fray Bentos, this is patently untrue as the Fray Bentos(food brand) continues to this day. Stub Mandrel ( talk) 10:21, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply
